Music Lovers are invited to join the Friends of Leicester International Music Festival where you will not only be part of an organisation which plays a vital role in making the annual Festival happen, but also get information on many other musical events taking place in the city and county throughout the year from our twice yearly newsletter.
Formed in 1989 after the success of the first Leicester International Music Festival, the Friends are at the heart of this annual major event in Leicester’s musical calendar. Year after year performers say how much they enjoy coming to our city where they receive a consistently warm welcome at this intimate Festival, when artists mix with the audience and music lovers have the opportunity to experience the work that goes into preparing for a performance.
Becoming a friend gives you the satisfaction of knowing you are keeping alive something which is quite special and if you are the sort of person for whom this is appealing, we would love to hear from you. The annual subscription is £15 (single), £25 (double). From time to time social/fund-raising events are held at which you can meet people with similar musical interests. We are always keen to hear from Friends with ideas for fund-raising functions and other aspects of the Festival and should you have any thoughts or ideas in this regard, these will always be welcome.
You will receive the following benefits:
Advance information and priority booking for all Festival events
Opportunities to meet the Artists
Twice yearly newsletter with information on musical happenings in Leicester and its county
Social and fund-raising events
If you are interested, please complete the form below or telephone +44 (0)116 270 6042. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
Christine Jones
